APPLAUD
APPLAUD is a growth regulator insecticide (IGR) with a unique mode of action on the market: it inhibits chitin synthesis, causing insects death when molting occurs in young stages. It acts by contact. It controls all larval/nymphal stages of whiteflies and scale insects in tomato, vine, pear, apple, orange, floral and ornamental crops. It is not adulticide but it affects their fertility, therefore reduces oviposition. It is not ovicidal, but when Appalud is applied to eggs, they will hatch but the nymphs of those eggs will not be able to molt. It also controls the larval/nymphal stages of the San Jose scale in apples. It is a more lipophilic than hydrophilic product, providing it a greater resistance to washing. Indicated to integrated pest control programs.
